RECYCLING IS WEIRD

Between the types of plastic, different bins, collection methods, and variances between cities, it’s hard to keep track of it all.

Over the last 1.5 years we’ve done a few lessons on recycling and the “common mistakes” people make when sorting their waste. Check out our past lessons for coverage on different stumbling blocks:

  1. Recycling Lesson No. 1

  2. Recycling Lesson No. 2

Let’s look at some new recycling stumbling blocks and see how we can dispose of them properly.

RECYCLING TIPS

  1. All plastic has a number based on its type. Click for more.

  2. Always rinse your containers to avoid contamination.

  3. All dark/black plastics go in the garbage as recycling sensors do not pick them up.

  4. When in doubt, check TO’s Waste Wizard.

THAT’S ALL FOLKS!

If you have any tips or if you have any questions, please let me know! It makes my day when I hear from you! 💚
